What is PET?

A preform is an intermediate product that is manufactured from polyethylene terephthalate (PET). Primarily, a PET preform is a test tube-shaped article of synthetic plastic that vary in weight, colour, neck finish and shape. It is made by a process called injection moulding, using a plastic called PET in different market segments. The PET material is formed to a shape which is moulded to a specific shape. Furthermore, it is particularly designed to meet the needs of customers. Preform weight often depends on the bottom and the container’s desired volume or shape.
